Candidate/End-user Usage - Why does a user need to create a profile

By creating a profile on the www.powerupyourcareer.com website, you will be able do more than search for jobs.  Your profile allows the www.powerupyourcareer.com web site to match you with several potential employers who meet your requirements.  Your profile also contains useful information that will allow distributors who are looking for employees to find faster.  To maximize your chances of finding a career opportunity that you want with an employer that needs you, go to www.powerupyourcareer.com and create your profile today!

1) What does each of the profile questions mean?


 
The profile questions are simple and are used to gather basic information about you.  You will need to provide your first and last name, address, City and State of residence, and zip code.  You must also provide a valid email address (discussed above in internet access section) as well as choose a password for your www.powerupyourcareer.com profile.  In addition to your contact information you will be required to either submit a resume (Microsoft Word, Adobe PDF, or Text format) or complete a brief work history.

If you do not wish to submit a resume or do not have a resume, you may complete a brief work history section for up to three previous employers.  You will provide the name, city, and state of the employer; the starting and/or ending dates of employment with that employer; and your job title (if applicable).

The email address along with the password you create will become your login information so be sure to keep it handy and remember it.  If you forget your password, you will need to remember the email address that is associated with your account to retrieve your password.

Besides the required information, you can also provide a phone number where you can be reached.

2) How do I upload a resume?
 
To upload a resume, click on the “Browse” button next to the resume box.  Select your resume file and click the “Open” button.  Your resume will be uploaded when you finish submitting your profile.



3) What resume formats are accepted?

Any format is accepted but for BEST results we recommend that you limit your resume to a maximum size of 3MB and submit it in either a Microsoft Word document or an Adobe PDF file.
