Inventory Management Director

• Supervises all aspects of the company purchasing department
• Analyzes all supply inventories, including consignments, and works with branches to achieve customer fill rate objectives and asset management goals
• Measures and reports vendor performance through order fill rate, inventory returns, general merchandise return on investment, etc.
• Identifies and directs disposition of excess inventory
• Establishes and monitors preparation standards for the collection of physical inventory information
• Establishes and monitors buying processes that optimize company buying power
• Oversees resolution of manufacturer invoice discrepancies
• Reviews purchase price overrides and inventory adjustments for propriety
• Demonstrated time-management skills, including ability to plan and schedule the work of others
• Excellent orientation, systems-thinking, problem-solving and leadership skills
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Distribution Management or related field; Master's preferred
• Multiple years of purchasing experience with some years at the management level
