Credit Manager
- Responsible for approving new customer credit applications and setting up all new accounts
- Performs credit investigation on all new customers and on existing customers with problems or need for additional credit limits
- Manages staff and monitors all collection activities done by staff
- Handles all credit references and credit inquiries
- Engages customer's accounts payable organization to gain successful collection of accounts receivable or identify issues beyond its scope
- Engages internal company departments/branches to resolve customer issue or deal with inability pay invoice
- Works closely with credit bureaus to make credit extension decisions
- Makes recommendations for establishment of credit limits, write-offs, and concessions of accounts receivable
- Assists with legal issues regarding collections
- Manages, coaches, counsels, guides and otherwise supports associates in their daily work efforts
- Strong PC skills
- Strong interpersonal/customer service skills-deals with internal and external customers
- Problem solving skills
- College degree in Finance or related field or comparable experience preferred
- 3+ years of supervisory experience
