Accountant

• Assists in determining profit or loss
• Sets credit limits for customers and approves any exceptions if senior management is unavailable
• Supervises general accounting activities to ensure accounting principles are followed
• Ensures company credit policies and credit procedures are maintained and reviews all collection problems
• Creates demand letters and releases liens
• Approves and prepares all credit memo purchase orders
• Communicates to salespeople regarding account status
• Oversees all functions of accounting personnel
• Degree in Accounting/Finance
• Excellent knowledge of accounting procedures
• Strong leadership, coaching and communication skills
• Knowledge of electrical industry helpful, but not necessary
